Donnie + Michelle engaged

I had a great time downtown with Donnie and Michelle when I shot their engagement photos. They will be married in early September at Carnton Plantation. This is just a quick preview, as I will add a few more photos to this blog entry, soon. Thanks Donnie and Michelle for the honor of shooting your upcoming wedding! Visit my main website HERE.

Josh + Amanda: Married at Travelers Rest Plantation

Josh and Amanda became friends of mine almost 2 years ago. Of course, I was honored to be chosen to photograph their wedding on July 30th. The ceremony was outdoors, and I'm always a big fan of that. It was steamy hot outside, and very cool indoors, so each time we walked outside from inside, our camera lenses would instantly fog up! We had to plan ahead---more than usual. I love a good challenge.

It was definitely a fun, upbeat day. It had rained early in the day, but cleared out well before we arrived on site. Even their little dog Cobi got dressed up for the occasion, and joined the groomsmen at the ceremony. Love it!

Thanks Josh and Amanda for the chance to shoot your wedding and be part of your day. It was an honor.

Christmas with the family.

I figured I would take the time to post a few photos from my own Christmas family gathering.

Snow on Christmas day is something to really thank God for. It was just enough to make everything white, but not enough to inhibit travel.

These photos were mostly shot in a casual manner, not getting too involved with "making photos". Just more like having fun. At the end, the last two photos are my cousin's nephew Alex. I'm not sure what that makes him to me. We spontaneously decided to grab my grandmother's big red coat, then array him with lots of bling, including my new watch, and some misc rings. He was transformed into instant hip hop artist, "Iced Alex".
(Pictured above is my beautiful cousin Christel and her lil dog , Mia. )

I hope you and your family had as great a Christmas as we did. it truly was one of our best in years.

Adam + Theresa engaged. "Arrington Vineyards"

Engaged couple at Arrington Vineyards near Nashville

This was an especially fun engagement shoot for me, and I know Adam and Theresa had a blast too. My clients all know I like to try to incorporate a theme into my engagement shoots. Our theme was "all things Vineyard and wine".

Arrington Vineyards, owned by Kix Brooks, who is half of the superstar country duo "Brooks & Dunn", was a great location for a shoot, even if the vines are out of season for the winter. Still...amazing! Arrington Vineyards is located in Arrington, TN.

After some wine tasting, and picking up a bottle to go, we hit the vineyard, and made some beautiful photos. Adam and Theresa were "naturals" at being great subjects, and are fine people as well. I'm totally stoked about these photos!

Stephanie + Daniel at Cedarwood Mansion

If ever there were a "dream location" for a wedding in Nashville, Cedarwood Mansion is just that. Stephanie and Daniel were married there on Friday, August 6th. The word "balmy" does come to mind, but it was so worth it for everybody.

An intimate gathering of friends and family were on hand for the day. Stephanie and Daniel were kind enough to spend a little extra time with me in the sweltering heat, for the purpose of capturing some artistic style photos to feed my need for expression, and satisfy their own desires for some romantic album photos.

Thank you Daniel and Stephanie for all the kindness, and for trusting me to shoot your wedding and engagement photos. I may add a few more photos to this blog in a day or two. Check back soon.
