John + Samantha

OK, I'm still catching up on weddings I haven't blogged yet. Here's another one that is a bit late in making it to my blog page. This is Samantha and John.  They were married at the beautiful Hilton in Nashville, back in 2015.  So you see, I AM catching up.  Some new blogs will be of recent weddings, and some will simply be weddings well in the archives by now.
Congrats to John and Samantha!  It was a beautiful wedding, with a special song in the middle of the ceremony, sung by a special vocalist. American Idol finalist, Clark Beckham.  (Pictured singing, below)

McKinley's 6 month maternity session

6 months down, and 3 to go!  McKinley will be shooting another session with us in a few months. We are blessed to be able to have shot this mini-session with her. We did all this in about 10 minutes of actual shoot time. She's also a wonderful person!

This was officially THE coldest photo shoot I have ever done. I don't know the temp, but it was ...... c-o-l-d.  It was quite windy also, which made things very skin-chilling. It's hard to tell by looking at the photos though, but it was freezing!  We are now in the middle of a super-duper cold snap in the nation.

So enjoy the photos, and some very blue eyes!  I mentioned the other day that I would be blogging more this year. Here we go...blog #2 of the year, and we are still in the first week.  To see more of my work, visit my website by clicking  HERE.

Jared + Tara Engaged

Happy New Year!  Today is January 1st, 2014.  I am going to vow right here and now--that I will spend much more time blogging this year than I did last year. Consider it done!
Here are a few samples of the fun engagement photo session I had with Tara and Jared. We started on the Shelby Street walking bridge in downtown Nashville. We then worked our way around town,  onto 2nd Ave, even dropping in to shoot a few inside of Old Spaghetti Factory. (one of my most favorite places to eat!)  This is where they will be having their rehearsal dinner at in May.  We finally shot a few  photos at Riverfront Park, right by the Cumberland River.  I will be shooting their wedding in early May, and we are much looking forward to it.
They do like zombies. So we included some little green zombies in the photos!  It was extremely  cold on this day, but the zombies did not seem to mind a bit!  As for us humans, we were doing all we could to keep our mortal bodies warm.
Keep an eye out some time after May for their wedding photos!  You can also see more of my work at my main website, ShaneIrwinPhotography.com

Kevin + Kim married

Finally I am back in blogland! This is a quick blog to show off a little bit of Kevin and Kim's wedding in Lawrenceburg, TN. This wedding was very unique, as you can see in the photos. The ceremony took place at the historic Crockette Theatre. Yes it's an old classic movie theatre. What great time we had, and I will never forget this one for sure. Thanks Kevin and Kim for the opportunity to photograph your amazing wedding. My website can be seen HERE.

Donnie + Michelle engaged

I had a great time downtown with Donnie and Michelle when I shot their engagement photos. They will be married in early September at Carnton Plantation. This is just a quick preview, as I will add a few more photos to this blog entry, soon. Thanks Donnie and Michelle for the honor of shooting your upcoming wedding! Visit my main website HERE.

Niki + John at Top O' Woodlands

Another beautiful Saturday wedding. Some light clouds in the sky (which us photographers love), and a gorgeous wedding venue (Top o' Woodlands), and two very kind people who are in love. Add in their close friends and family, and we had one beautiful, stylish, classy wedding. Thanks John and Niki for the pleasure of photographing your wedding! Thanks to Aaron for helping. Aaron is my longest tenured second shooter, and he got some great ones again. I especially love the shot of the flower girl on her tip-toes, trying to see when is her time to walk the aisle. Becca + Lowell wedding

I'm still catching up on my blogging, and I hope to blog much more in the near future. This post features Rebecca and Lowell, who's beautiful wedding I shot back in February. Most of us wedding photographers don't post many photos from the actual ceremony, for various reasons, but I'm throwing one out there today because it's so beautiful. I had a great vantage point and was able to capture some great ceremony photos. After the wedding and reception, the new couple and I met up again later at Opryland Hotel, which is where I shot the final image in this post. Shannon, my new wife, was still my fiance at the time of this wedding. She came along as an assistant to Aaron and I. That was very helpful, but also served as a great way to show her the ropes of wedding photography, as she is now in training, being as she is a naturally gifted photographer. Becca has been so very kind to offer lots of help for the wedding of Shannon and I, which took place a couple weeks ago. What a great person! Lowell is a great match for her. I hope everyone enjoys the new photos. I will try to blog again next week.
