Finally--- Geoff + Jennifer on Turks & Caicos Islands

Well, it is now June 21, 2016 as I write this. I've been neglecting my blogging again, but sometimes it can be hard to keep up on when life gets busy. There are plenty of weddings I have yet to blog, and hopefully will soon. For now, I'm happy to share with you more of the beautiful wedding photos from Turks and Caicos Islands. Geoff and Jennifer were married back in 2012. Yes, 2012! Although it was one of the most beautiful weddings I've done, and I did blog 3 photos of it in 2012, it's time to give it more exposure! I had a blast shooting this wedding, and hope to return to the island again, hopefully for another wedding. For now, enjoy the photos!  To view my main website, click HERE.

Geoff + Jennifer island wedding (teaser blog)

Just a quick few teaser photos from our recent destination wedding to Turks and Caicos Islands. The islands are out past the Bahamas, near Cuba, if you aren't familiar. Click on any image to enlarge it. This was one exciting, beautiful wedding! Geoff and Jennifer picked a perfect location, and the perfect timing. Hurricane Sandy came calling right as we were leaving the island airport! Whew. I don't think they got too much damage at all though on the islands. This is just a short blog, as I have quite a large workload right now. I will feature more photos from this wedding in several weeks. Keep an eye out. View our main website and galleries HERE. Vince + Emily married at Ft. Campbell

Vince and Emily were married November 12th, 2011 at Ft. Campbell, KY. It was a very special location, overlooking a beautiful lake that rested on lower ground. Stunning!

Vince and Emily were awesome to work with! The wedding ceremony was beautiful, and the reception full of great moments and memories. I hope to post more soon....

Brittney rocks the dress in Paris

Welcome back to my camera, Brittney. Back in June of 2010, I shot the wedding of Brittney and Tommy (as seen in a past blog post) We had been in contact since then about some day doing a bridal photo shoot, in Paris, TN where she was married. They even have a mini Eiffel tower. So just recently, I made the trip to Paris, and we spent a couple hours shooting one of my "rock the dress" photo shoots. I love it!

We knew we would be visiting the mini Eiffel tower for a few shots, but the rest of the time was spent doing what I love to to, which is "drive and shoot". We ride around town looking for locations to shoot at. The always sparks creativity on the spot. We spotted some train cars with pink graffiti on them, and we use that, as well as the inside of one of the cars. (as seen below, with the streak of light coming diagonally through the side doors and hitting the other side. We also shot in the town square, and at a couple other spots. Of course, moving very quickly, as time is a huge factor. Late afternoon when the sun is low. That is the optimal time to shoot.

I also brought along a videographer to capture behind the scenes footage of the shoot, and that video is close to being done. I will post a link to see it, once it's ready. Thanks also to Tommy, Brittney's husband for being my assistant for the day, and holding lights and reflectors as needed.

Thanks for the great shoot, Brittney. You rock.

Ken +Joy's wedding by the lake.

Ken and Joy were married October 1st, and the weather was very cooperative for an outdoor wedding by the lake. The ceremony took place under a huge gazebo. I came to know Ken and Joy when I shot the wedding of Joy's nice, Amanda, earlier in the year in June. Soon, in November, I will be shooting the wedding of Amanda's sister Andrea. I know the family fairly well by now, and I feel like a family friend.

This time of year is always my busiest, and I'm usually lucky to get any time for blogging in the autumn months. I'll hopefully be back on track with more blogs ASAP. For now, enjoy the new photos!
