This blog post is going to be heavy on the photos, so I'm going to keep the words to a minimum! What a great Christian couple to work with. Tony and Georgia are very special people, and as always, I was honored to be able to photograph a wedding for such wonderful people. The wedding was in Clarksville, TN., not too far from Ft. Campbell Army base.
Thanks Tony and Georgia for such a great day. Tell your mother Adele that she is an awesome mother of the bride!

Erin + Matt -- Little wedding in the park
This is a very recent wedding I shot. Although I have older work I want to blog soon, I couldn't resist throwing a few of these up on the blog quickly. I love little outdoor weddings.
Erin and Matt were married in Clarksville last Friday. One of my second shooters, Shellene, captured the last photo of this blog. It was a surprise wedding guest. He had 4 legs, and was very happy for the new couple! He just came running out of nowhere to greet them after the ceremony.
Thanks Matt and Erin for the great day.

Vince + Emily engaged. Clarksville
Yes, I'm a big fan of balloons in photographs. Vince and Emily like them too. We spent a few hours in Clarksville, at two different locations. One location was at Riverwalk, a popular spot for the area.
Sometimes I blog a lot of photos, and sometimes just a few. Balloons are usually a great way to get me to blog a LOT. The color palette, the moving action, the wide open spaces I use for backdrops all makes for a grand collection of photos to share.
One thing I like the most about an engagement shoot, is getting to know the couple more than I had in the past. Likewise, they get much more familiar with me, and on the upcoming wedding day, we are like old friends. Each couple has their own dynamics, both with me, and with themselves as a couple, and that is part of my job that I appreciate so much. Speaking of upcoming weddings, theirs is coming up on November 12th. I'll be there.

Deuce + Amber's wedding in Clarksville
It was a gorgeous spring day, and perfect for a wedding. It was the type of weather a bride dreams of. The venue was Sango United Methodist church, and the stained glass windows that lined the walls of the sanctuary brought a colorful, pleasant burst of color into the scene.
Amber & Deuce have been a pleasure to know and to work with, right from the start. They also know how to have fun at a reception! Deuce and his guys had plenty of antics and surprises to keep everyone guessing what's next all night.
Thanks to both Amber and Deuce for trusting me to photograph your wedding. Let's do it again....for a 20 year renewal of vows. See ya in 20 years?

Deuce + Amber engaged. "The barn"

I had scouted out a few locations for the shoot that day, and what you see is what was chosen after 2 hours of my scouting. However, it's not always easy finding a beautiful location that is accessible. At one point, I drove down a side road, pulled over, got out of my vehicle and was shooting a couple of test photos of the area, when a man in a golf cart drove out from his house to promptly tell me I was on private property and I need to leave now! He was smiling, but his words were very to the point. I didn't actually see a shotgun at his side, but I strongly suspect one existed. I left. I eventually found the locations you see in the photos.
Upon meeting up with Deuce and Amber an hour later, in a more friendly environment, we had fun shooting these photos(and a lot more). At one point, one of them ( I will keep the identity secret) bumped their head pretty good on a 2x4 in the tobacco barn. I hope there was not a huge welt! Overall, it was a great time. The clouds were perfect for photography, and we had fun making photos. See you both in March.

Matt + Lisa wedding in Clarksville

Matt and Lisa were married on March 20th in Clarksville, Tennessee, but they currently live in Oklahoma . What a fun couple to work with! Their family and friends were great to be around, and the wedding was beautiful. Lisa comes from Korean descent, and her mother was truly of the sweetest, kindest ladies!
The wedding took place at 5pm inside a beautiful church interior, full of tradition and marvelous architecture. Amber tinted crystallized glass windows gave a warm glow. High arching rafters created a photographic dream.

The reception was at a great location, custom made for fun and celebration. The dance floor itself was a thing of beauty to look at. The musical trio consisted of guitar, percussion, sax, and some great layered vocals. They played modern pop music, which was the perfect fit for the occasion.
The food was heavy on Korean style, and it was absolutely delicious. Chop sticks were the tool of choice!
Overall, it was a great night. I wish Matt and Lisa a great life together!
