Cynthia + Erich's secret wedding
Ever wonder what a small, secret wedding looks like when it's fully documented in photographs? Whether you have or not, this is it! I was so honored to be the witness and photographer for Cynthia and Erich's wedding this past spring. What a great looking couple.
Their wedding took place at one of their favorite spots where they spend time together. It was really something VERY special for us all. After the beautiful, quaint ceremony, we had a great time making some photos for the new couple to remember their special day with. If you are wondering, the wedding is no longer "secret" at this time, hence my freedom to now share it with you.
This wedding was truly something to remember for a lifetime, and I wish Erich and Cynthia the very best, and a lifetime of love to share with each other! Thanks both of you.

Kevin + Lauren get married.
Married at lakeside, out in a rustic area, and how beautiful it was! Whispering Pines in Summertown to be exact. June 4th, 2011. Lauren's color palette for her wedding was perfect. Her bouquet, as well as other floral details was a perfect fit for the location...and for her. What a beautiful bride. What a special group of people.
The happy new couple escaped via pontoon boat, and I'm in love with those photos! A send-off with bubbles and a boat is always a photographer's dream.
I honestly love what I do, and feel so honored every single time I get to photograph the wedding of a new couple. This is their big day, and the wedding will always be remembered through the images I captured. What an honor, and responsibility! Thank you Lauren and Kevin.

Ryan + Tia - Island Wedding
Gateway Island, Murfreesboro, TN. What a great place for a wedding! Surrounding water, and surrounding friends make for a great outdoor wedding. Ryan and Tia's friendship and love for each other is obvious, and inspiring. They are always up for another spontaneous round of "Rock, Paper, Scissors"!
The ceremony took place at Gateway Island, which was a really beautiful location. I'm so excited about all the colorful photos. The bridesmaids were each wearing a different color, which really helped brighten up the scene. Wedding planning was by Kennedy Occasions, and they really hit a home run here.
It's been fun knowing Ryan and Tia, and I'm thrilled about being chosen to shoot their wedding. The weather was good, the people were awesome, and the photos are looking good too. I know you both are excited to see the rest. Soon, very soon!

Adam + Theresa's wedding.
May 7th, 2011. Adam and Theresa were married in a beautiful backyard ceremony in Brentwood. I Wanted to share a few photos with you from this event. I think they convey the sense of the day's events. I love outdoor weddings!
I'm right in the middle of peak wedding season, so more blogs to come as soon as I have time, which is in short supply lately. Lots of outdoor weddings for me this year. Yeah, it's a heat wave lately, and I usually wear black. I still love what I do.

Tia + Ryan engagement. The Wizard of Oz
Today as I write this blog, it is actually the wedding day of Ryan and Tia! I am finally getting around to blogging their engagement photos, which we had a great time shooting, by the way.
Ever watched an old movie with your sweetheart out in an open field, with popcorn to boot? It's easy, just bring a TV with rabbit ears, some popcorn, a blanket, and each other. OK, yes I like engagement photos that have a theme. A theme that the couple loves and relates to, and is part of them. So, here it is! Watching tv together. (visit this blog again soon, as I will likely post a couple more photos from this shoot)
And now, time to pack up and go shoot their wedding in a few hours!

Jenna's "Rock the dress" photo shoot.

This beautiful model's name is Jenna. After about 3-4 hours of driving and shooting, we had created so many beautiful photos, I don't really have room to post them all. Below is a sample though!
I wanted to spend a few hours with a bride or a model so that I could show off some things that can be done when time is permitting. I want to encourage future brides to plan for lots of photo time on their wedding day. Either that, or plan a "day after" shoot. Or maybe a "Rock the dress" shoot. How about a "Trash the Dress" shoot? (yeah, the dresses usually only get wet, not actually trashed)
Jenna was great to work with, and I hope to shoot her actual wedding, whenever that day may happen!
