Deuce + Amber engaged. "The barn"

March 19th, Deuce & Amber will be married. Oh yes, I will be there. In the meantime, we have some pretty cool engagement photos to hold us over!

I had scouted out a few locations for the shoot that day, and what you see is what was chosen after 2 hours of my scouting. However, it's not always easy finding a beautiful location that is accessible. At one point, I drove down a side road, pulled over, got out of my vehicle and was shooting a couple of test photos of the area, when a man in a golf cart drove out from his house to promptly tell me I was on private property and I need to leave now! He was smiling, but his words were very to the point. I didn't actually see a shotgun at his side, but I strongly suspect one existed. I left. I eventually found the locations you see in the photos.

Upon meeting up with Deuce and Amber an hour later, in a more friendly environment, we had fun shooting these photos(and a lot more). At one point, one of them ( I will keep the identity secret) bumped their head pretty good on a 2x4 in the tobacco barn. I hope there was not a huge welt! Overall, it was a great time. The clouds were perfect for photography, and we had fun making photos. See you both in March.

Phillip + Melissa: Log House wedding

Nashville wedding photographer captures log house wedding

Well I've had such a super busy last 2 months, I'm just now getting around to adding another few photos here and there on my blog. I will likely start cutting back on my quantity of photos per blog entry, but I'm hoping to blog more frequently. So.....

Wedding date: Oct. 16th. Buchanon Log House in Nashville was the location chosen by Phillip and Melissa, both of whom I met while I was shooting the wedding of Ryan and Nan, back on May 15th. Phillip and Melissa are such a fun couple, and the wedding was full of fun moments and surprises. It was beautiful weather for this outdoor event, and the big tree with yellow leaves out in the field was a visual gift from God. Thanks to both of you for allowing me the honor of photographing your big day!

Kevin + Lauren engagement in Franklin

Kevin and Lauren will be married on June 4th, 2011, and I will be there too. Until then, they have a fun collection of new engagement photos to enjoy. I really like having some sort of theme with my engagement shoots. It adds a great element to the set. Since Kevin is a mountain bike enthousiast, and even built this bike from ground up, we had fun with mountain biking as our theme.
Thanks Kevin and Lauren for the honor of being chosen to photograph your wedding in June. See you then.

Ryan + Jordan engaged

Ok, so I haven't blogged in a few weeks, but I have come back finally. This past October has been the busiest month of my career. I have to say though, I like it that way! Below is one of my many shoots of recent days.

Ryan and Jordan will be getting married in Colorado, one of my favorite states. For now, they are still here in Nashville, and I was lucky enough to be hired to shoot their engagament photos downtown. There are so many great, scenic locations downtown, and we walked around, using a good variety of them.
Ryan and Jordan are a great couple to work with, and never run short of affection for each other, and it shows. Enjoy the new photos everyone.
