Daniel + Stephanie engagement, Army Style

I love my job. I get to work with wonderful couples like this on a regular basis, doing something I love, and something that they have fun doing; being models for a day. Stephanie and Daniel were so laid back, just being themselves as I lined up these shots in my eye and camera. Toward the end of the shoot, their little one made a few cameos in the frames!

We arrived onto Ft. Campbell, KY. late in the afternoon, about 90 minutes before sunset, as planned. Most of these photos were made using natural, available light. Some, near the end of the shoot, I added off camera flash for just a touch of fill lighting.

Daniel and Stephanie will be married August 6th, and I will be there with cameras blazin'. Daniel will be deploying once again back to the middle east later in August. I trust he will will return safely!

Nan + Ryan Nashville Engagement

It was a beautiful day in Nashville. I met Nan and Ryan in downtown Nashville for the shoot, and once we got started shooting, their relationship together was easy to see in the photos. I asked Nan to teach me a few words in Chinese, but I wasn't able to quite grasp the language in 5 minutes. I may need a little bit longer.

We started out shooting right by the Cumberland river, accross from downtown. It's really a beautiful area, and provides a clear, unobstructed view of downtown Nashville. We walked our way up and onto the slightly famous Shelby Street Bridge for more photos.
Finally making our way to Centenial Park to shoot around the perimiter of the Parthenon building. The Nashville Parthenon is a nearly full scale replica of the original in Athens, Greece. It's beauty and grandeur is stunning. It also happens to be a great place for some photographs to be made. It was dark by the time we got there, and with the help of my mobile location lighting, we made some special photos for Nan and Ryan to have forever as memories. They will be married May 15th, and I look forward to capturing their wedding for them!

New logo is done, and unveiled!

Things have been happening fast lately for me. Many improvements have taken place, and many more are yet to come in the very near future.

You may or may not have been to my website lately, but it is sporting a totally new logo, as well as the site itself having been totally revamped in a huge way. It's about 75% done, with more improvements yet to come. Check it out if you haven't stopped by recently! http://www.shaneirwinphotography.com/

My new "Shane Irwin Photography" logo is now done, after many countless design hours I have poured into it, making different styles and renditions. Another stone is now set.

I recently moved from one house to the other, here in Nashville. In fact, I just got myself all moved in yesterday, so today was a much needed break. (Although I now have a bad case of hand cramp from using the mouse, designing logos!)

I'm posting a couple of photos with my new logo on them, which I use for web images. These 2 little cuties are the daughters of a good friend of mine, and I shot these at the local "beach", as I call it. It's a section of lakeside in Hendersonville that has imported sand, and is very....beachy.

Keep an eye out for more changes and improvements. I'm always in "upgrade mode".
